Now on to the exciting stuff... we've made great progress with our employee engagement tools with the addition of badges and improvements to surveys. We've also added some handy features to improve your productivity, such as reminders in chat, searching for phrases and more Read on for all the details.
Scale employee recognition with Badges
Employee recognition is a crucial component of employee engagement but it's difficult to achieve at scale – and consistently. Workplace has a variety of tools already in place to help organisations scale recognition. Our new badges provide a way to recognise employees for their roles and achievements, directly on their profile pages. Automatically awarded badges provide a consistent, scalable way of recognising employees while admin-awarded badges provide a flexible means of reinforcing company values.
Badges can be managed by system admins, content moderators, account managers and any custom admin role with the "Manage badges" permission. To see the full set of badges available to your organisation, admins can go to the Admin Panel and click Badges from the menu. In this overview, you'll see a description for each badge, along with the criteria and method for how badges are awarded.

Improve survey response rates with custom invites
We recently launched our new surveys product to check in with employees through brief easy-to-use surveys. We're adding a new field to our survey-creation flow: Invite message. This will enable admins to provide survey participants with additional context through a custom message that appears before the Take Survey call to action.

Search for exact phrases
We are constantly improving our search functionality so you can find the information you need more easily. We launched a new search feature that allows you to use double quotation marks (E.g. "quarterly report") to find posts that contain exact matches to the texts between the quotation marks.
Content reporting improvements
We've improved our content reporting by adding the ability to report chats to admins on Workplace. You can now report any content on Workplace, whether it's a chat, post or comment. Everyone now has the ability to report one-on-one and group chats. In a group chat, you will be asked to report a specific member of the chat. When a chat report is submitted, it will be sent to the admin team (System admins & content moderators) of the person who is being reported. The last set of messages and all associated media such as photos and videos will also be reported to provide admins with important context so they can make an informed decision. Reporting chats is currently ONLY supported on web, but will be available on mobile apps shortly.

Manage your busy day with saved messages and reminders
With so much to do in a day, we can't always get to everything straight away. We launched saved messages and reminders to help you to stay organised and come back to work on your schedule. You can now save chat messages just like you can save posts. You can find and organise all saved messages and posts in the Saved section on Workplace.

Save chat messages
If you want to remind yourself to come back to a chat message at another time, you can click "Remind Me" on any chat message. At the time you select, you will be reminded about this message within the chat thread. We hope this makes your busy days a bit more manageable!
