We're starting off 2021 right with two exciting enhancements to Workplace. We're launching several improvements to live broadcasting and are proud to announce Safety Centre, the evolution of Safety Check, which can be used for a wide range of employee safety notices.

Introducing a new and improved Workplace Live experience

We're levelling up the Workplace Live experience to help you host engaging virtual events. We've added some of your most requested features, including the ability to go live with multiple hosts – both internal Workplace users or external guests. A new live video side panel allows you respond to audience questions, comments and reactions while hosting. And when your live stream ends, you can take a look at a brief summary with new engagement metrics such as average watch time and engagement by group.

Help people stay safe and connected with Safety Centre

Safety Centre is the evolution of Safety Check on Workplace. We've added new features and redesigned the experience to bring you more flexibility when managing your communications before, during and after safety incidents.

Safety Centre will still offer powerful targeted messages through email, top of News Feed and Workplace Chat, but now also has:

  • New message styles: New message styles help you communicate clearly and appropriately, depending on the situation. Stick with Safety Checks or send safety alerts, travel advisories or important bulletins, covering a broader range of scenarios
  • Multiple messages per incident: Send follow-up messages after the initial check or alert and track all messages associated with the incident in one place. Tailor your communication cadence as you see fit for the situation.
  • Response insights: See key metrics such as read and response rate in a clear dashboard. Understand your incident response success in a glance.
