This month, we're introducing two new features: Workplace Rules and dark mode on the Workplace mobile app. Workplace Rules is designed to help you clearly communicate rules and guidelines that help you keep your Workplace a productive, inclusive and safe space. Dark mode is an accessibility feature that makes Workplace easier to view and engage with in low light situations.

New Workplace Rules
Admins have told us that they spend a lot of time trying to keep their Workplace safe and respectful. An important part of this effort is establishing organisational rules and guidelines. Rules set the tone for an organisation and help employees understand how to engage on Workplace. So it's important that rules are easily seen in order for them to be effective.
In the past, admins wrote their rules and guidelines in various places within their Workplace. Now, admins can create and effectively communicate a code of conduct for their organisation within their Workplace. Go to the Help Centre to learn more about Workplace Rules.
Dark mode now available on the Workplace mobile app
We've added dark mode to the Workplace iOS and Android apps. This accessibility feature allows you to change your device's background from white to black, helping to reduce eye strain and glare in low-light situations.
We introduced dark mode for the Workplace Chat apps on iOS and Android last year, and are now releasing this feature for the Workplace app as well. The Workplace app will follow the system's dark mode setting on your device, but you can also override it by clicking on the Help and settings page in the app. Visit the Help Centre to learn more about dark mode.
Japanese pre-recorded video captions
We are adding Japanese to the list of automatic captions available for pre-recorded videos added to Workplace. Captions make video content more accessible and easier to consume. New Workplace web experience available to all
We announced a few months ago that we have redesigned the Workplace website to be faster with a more streamlined design, and added extra features such as dark mode and full-width mode. Go to the Customer Resource Centre to learn more.
You can control your company's access to the new experience by going to What's new in your Admin Panel and clicking "Manage early access". On 9 February, all Workplaces remaining on the old experience will be moved over automatically.
