Five new Knowledge Library features you should know about
Learn about the latest exciting updates to Knowledge Library.

The Workplace team has been listening to your feedback and making key updates and improvements to Knowledge Library to make your experience even better. Read on to learn about new features such as subcategory viewing access, the pre-loaded Workplace user guide, automatic translations and more.
Give people access to view select subcategories
We've heard your feedback and are excited to share that admins now have greater control over who can view and comment on subcategory content. Admins can now invite people to view subcategories without making the whole category visible to them. They can give viewing access to a subcategory for their whole Workplace, selected groups or specific people.

Pre-loaded content: The Workplace user guide
We're excited to announce a new way to share Workplace education with your organisation. The pre-written user guide in Knowledge Library provides educational content to help people make the most of Workplace features such as groups, chat and live video.
The guide is currently only visible to admins. We know that organisations have their own guidelines on how to use Workplace, so we've made the guide fully editable. Admins can save the guide as a draft, make changes and then publish it to the organisation. Pre-loaded content is available on the desktop web version of Workplace and it can be accessed here.

Translate Knowledge Library content automatically
You can now translate Knowledge Library categories and subcategories automatically. Previously, in order to attach a translation, editors needed to add the translated version manually. With automatic translations, we translate the content into the selected language in real time, while allowing changes to be made afterwards. This feature is available only on the desktop web version of Workplace.
To automatically translate a category
- Go to the category and click Edit.
- Click
in the top right and select Attach a translation. - Search for your language and select from the drop-down menu.
- Workplace will automatically translate the page. Click Continue.
- Review the translation and make changes as needed.
You will need to follow these steps for each of the individual subcategories.
Customise your Knowledge Library's colours
Brand colours help employees easily recognise Knowledge Library as a trusted source of company official information. Admins can now add customised colours for their desired categories and collections by selecting their colour by hex code or using the colour picker. Saved customised colours will be available for other admins in their organisation to save time and drive brand consistency.

Improved insights for Knowledge Library
Our improved insights now allow admins and category editors to see how many people visited, commented on and reacted to their category over a selected time period. They can filter by location, department, or job title and they can also see how many files have been viewed and downloaded. This is available on the desktop web version of Workplace.
