Workplace for Good

Workplace, Meta's business communication tool, helps organisations connect their workers. Since 2018, we have donated it to eligible non-profit charitable organisations around the world.

How we help charities all over the world.

Workplace donates the equivalent of USD 92 million of software annually. It's helped form 22,000 groups on Workplace and sends 300,000 messages every day for non-profitable charitable organisations. We are proud to play our part in helping these organisations change the world for the better.

One of the UK's largest providers of high-quality integrated housing, health and social care.

Workplace connected the 3,500 colleagues of this social enterprise and charity and helped them build on over 80 years of crucial work, which has now seen them help 110,000 people find 55,000 homes across England and Scotland.

Workplace was launched to their 5,500 volunteers in 2017 and helped create a community feel that helps them collect and distribute sanitary products to thousands of women who may be fleeing domestic violence or experiencing homelessness or other trauma in their life.

This award-winning charity drives change around the world through the power of sport in communities.

Workplace made it possible for the ten full-time staff and dozens of global citizens spread across 130 countries to all work together, so they became more efficient, effective and economical with their resources to create a sustainable impact around the world.

Reach a new level with the help of new technology

Workplace helps charities communicate and collaborate, but it's just one of the tools that Meta can offer to assist them. Meta Quest can open up the world of virtual reality and all of the possibilities that it offers.

Whether it's research, complex training or guides to simple procedures, learning in VR is far more effective because of the ability to build muscle memory as things feel more real. So, whether you need to offer training for disaster scenarios, rescues or emergency medical procedures, VR can help make it safer and more memorable.

The very nature of charities will mean that travel for its volunteers or staff is a cost they'd rather not incur. Workrooms is a VR experience that helps everyone feel as if they're actually in the same room, or work space, even when they may be physically miles apart.

While the metaverse is still very much in production, charities will eventually need to have a presence there. We can help them take those early steps so they can tell their story, appeal for funds and attract workers or volunteers in a new space.
