No organisation in the world wants to stand still. Change is the cornerstone of progress. That's why it's on every business leader's agenda. But what is it? What are we really talking about when we talk about "change"?

65% of MDs rated "inclusive growth" as a top-three strategic concern

For starters, we're talking about people. Diversity is spurring fundamental changes: two-thirds of the 10,000 leaders surveyed as part of Deloitte's 2018 Global Human Capital Trends report cited diversity and inclusion as "important" or "very important" to their business.

And 65% of MDs rated "inclusive growth" as a top-three strategic concern.

But we're also talking about technology – how the digital workplace is changing alongside the physical.

That's a huge concern for organisations with younger workforces, as 53% of generation Yers say they'd be more likely to accept a job if their employer used the same technologies they do.

And we're talking about transparency. 83% of people say they prefer to shop with a brand they trust, while 69% think brands need to do a better job of earning it.

Having previously pioneered initiatives at Shell, PepsiCo and AT&T, his extensive experience informs how technology attracts and retains next-generation talent while empowering people to make a positive global impact.

Grounded in research, Paradigm is a strategy firm that partners with leading technology companies to build stronger, more inclusive organisations. CEO Joelle Emerson's vision has helped entrepreneurs, executives and D&I leaders to identify barriers and drive meaningful change.

Pradheepa Raman is Chief Talent and Innovation Officer at Stanley Black & Decker. Having previously led inclusion initiatives at Samsung and Avaya, her unique insights are renowned for inspiring action, encouraging progressive movements and creating more open workplaces.

Her diverse team promotes new information, fresh perspectives, increased creativity and opportunity recognition.
